A powerful message is entrusted to the affected porcelain figurine with the severed and bleeding arm. There is no attempt to reconstruct the missing limb, but it has the task of reminding us that beauty is not always recoverable, that art must be protected from all kinds of pitfalls, not only from natural disasters but also from the senseless actions of men, from "damnatio memoriae" ("condemnation of memory"), from censures of all kinds.
